In 1955 the Norfolk & Western was the last class 1 railroad in the country that had yet to employ a single diesel unit. For that reason it was referred to as "America's last steam railroad". This tape begins with dozens of run-by's of 2-8-8-2's, 4-8-0's, and 2-6-6-4's.
