Back in 1933 the Polytechnic Touring Association, Ltd on Regent Street in London offered a series of Escorted Tours by Air from London's "Airways Terminus" at Croydon to multiple destinations in Europe utilizing the Handley Page "Heracles" class "air-liners" of Imperial Airways, Ltd. The Heracles was a behemoth four engined passenger Bi-plane that could hold 38 passengers plus crew of four! This remarkable booklet not only quoted various tours prices and hotels, but went to great length to convince wary travelers of the safety and comfort when traveling by air! Some pages may be slow to load as I enlarged them so you can read the WONDERFUL text! REMEMBER TO CLICK ON ANY IMAGE FOR A CLOSE UP. This item is for display only and not available for sale.
